Legacy Savannah will bring 400 income-based housing units, production studios, and youth sports facilities to the 66.5-acre site known as the Coastal Empire Fairgrounds. Phase One will feature 30 new single-family homes and 20 townhomes.
We have never given up on the dream that inspired this project. The dream for affordable housing is that every Savannahian should have housing that is accessible, quality, available, and affordable.
Housing is one of the defining issues for our community and our community’s continued viability.
In the past three years, our #Savannah housing action plan has doubled our original investment goals, investing more than 27 million city dollars in affordable housing.
Savannah currently has five housing projects in place, including two at the site of the old fairgrounds.
We swung for the fences, we’ve been able to do great things, and I think we can go harder. #HousingSavannah

Even though this birthday felt different and was so different for me, I am so grateful for your kindness and expressions for my special day. I will continue to respond, and hopefully, I will catch up by next year.
I promised myself that I would celebrate soon, but it was much more important to me that my City was safe and my folks had power.
I will be back outside soon!
THREE WEEKS TO GO!
Early voting begins in Georgia TODAY!

I am particularly proud of this moment for my beautiful God-daughter Maya, so she can see greatness before her so she can realize the greatness in her!
245 years ago was the #SiegeofSavannah, where in less than 1 hour, over 800 soldiers died in fighting for America's independence from British forces.
Annually, on October 9th, we we return to that sacred space in downtown Savannah to remember the Patriots, the French, the Haitians, the Polish and the Free and Enslaved Black men who fought for our independence.
Still #SavannahStrong
